It is important that all registered athletes read and understand the risks involved in competing in an endurance event in a hot climate.
Weather in Dili is generally hot and humid throughout the year. From November to May, the city experiences high temperatures, humidity and monsoonal rains; during the 5-month dry season (June – October), temperatures and humidity decrease slightly.
Athletes from cooler climates should plan to arrive several days in advance of the race to give the opportunity to acclimatise.
